Today, the Supreme Court handed out a decision which overturns the Washington D.C. gunban. They have ruled, 5-4, that the ban was unconstitutional. This is in the wake of yesterday’s ruling, 5-4, removing capital punishment from consideration for a child rape crime. Two totally separate arguments. Two very highly debated topics. And two VERY close votes. Our 2nd Amendment guarantees us our right to keep and bear arms. ANY law forbidding this right under United States law is in direct violation of that right, which is protected by our Constitution. It is beyond me that 4 United States Supreme Court Justices would rule that such a law is valid. What set of laws, Bill of Rights, and Constitution are they reading?
