The Florida Gators won the BCS Championship last night in college football. They were the team I was rooting for even though Oklahoma is from the Big12. I like Oklahoma, but just in a passing fashion. I’ve liked and followed Florida for a long while… since back in the early 90’s when I started following the Miami Hurricanes. No, that doesn’t mean I like Florida State… I can’t stand that team.
Florida won 24-14 and Tim Tebow, one of the most outspoken Christian athletes I’ve seen, carried them to victory by making great decisions and plays in the 2nd half of the game. Congratulations to Florida for winning the championship.
Mizzou finished up in the late teens in the college rankings. A far cry from finishing in the top 5 last year though… Jeremy Maclin, the Mizzou All American wide receiver announced he will leave college and enter the NFL draft. I agree with his decision. The chances for injury are too great and you can always go back to school, but you can’t always enter the draft as a projected top 10 pick. He’ll be an instant multi-millionaire the moment his name is called.
We watched the Deniro/Pacino movie Righteous Kill this evening. It’s pretty good, definitely worth the rent. I didn’t get the watch Pineapple Express so I’ll have to shell out $2 to watch it. I’m so glad it’s the weekend!!!!!!! I need some sleep!
