Tonight was the night. The last game of Chase Daniel’s and many other Mizzou football players college careers. They were in a bowl they viewed as beneath them because of their pre-season expectations but they were still deemed 12 point favorites. The team they were playing, Northwestern, took the opportunity as if it were the Super Bowl… and they played like it.
Mizzou played half hearted with a few players giving everything they had while some played like they would rather be home. In the end, Mizzou needed a thrilling finish to win the game in overtime – 30 to 23. All in all, a 10-4 season is not bad, but not anywhere close to the expectations Mizzou had for this year. 22 wins in 2 years is amazing when we look at our records from previous years. Congratulations to Mizzou for a great couple of years of college football.
I still have a few Redbox coupons that need to be redeemed before January 1st so I may go and rent a few movies just to use them up. I’m not sure there is anything even worth renting, but I’ll find out.
