Saturday was a full day of sports and outdoor stuff for me. I went shooting today and sighted in my .22 rifle which I hadn’t shot in years. That was fun. After getting back home, I watched some college football in the afternoon. The evening was spent watching several things at once. UFC, Baseball Playoffs, and the Mizzou game was on… not to mention one of our boys rented the Hopkins-Pavlik boxing match. So, splitting time between 4 events was hard until Mizzou decided to play like a high school team and got down 35-0 before scoring a field goal heading into halftime. I didn’t watch any of the 2nd half… they eventually lost 56-31. Sad, very sad. Anyway, on the other hand, the UFC fights were ok, nothing too awful exciting, and the Red Sox played well forcing a Game 7 winner take all game on Sunday. As for Hopkins, he was fighting a 26 year old title holder while he is currently 43. He pulled one of the great fights for the ages out of the hat and utterly dominated his younger opponent. All in all, a busy and exciting Saturday even if Mizzou laid their 2nd consecutive egg.
