Nothing much went on Friday so no post.  Today, my wife and I headed up to the city, returned some things and got in on some after Christmas sales with some coupons we had.  She got some really nice deals on a couple shirts and the stuff we returned let me get a new movie – Eagle Eye.

On the way home, it started raining so hard and we had so much wind, we actually had to pull over on the interstate and stop.  There were about 40-50 other people stopped also.  A diesel went by so we snuck up to it and used it to blaze the pathway home while we drove about 25 miles per hour for about 10-15 miles.  It was horrible.  There were tornado warnings and flash flood warnings out.  I haven’t seen that type of rain while driving ever in my life.

After getting home, I fell asleep for a couple hours (I started getting sick last night with some sinus and throat soreness).

I woke up, and then headed off to my first ever soccer practice – I’ve joined the work indoor soccer team.  Wow, I’m out of shape and suck at soccer.  I totally expected it though and my jersey will have the name Waterboy on the back of it.  I am there for the team building and not for the sport itself.

Tonight was UFC night and the fight card was one of the best of the year if not all time.  None of the televised fights ended in a decision.  They were all knockouts or referee stoppages.  While my guys didn’t win the fights I wanted for the most part, the fights were exciting and very fun to watch.
