The NFL playoff picture is set as of today.  The New England Patriots finished 11-5 and missed the playoffs while a team in the same league finished 8-8 and made it.  The 8-8 team won their division and made it because of that and the Patriots failed to win their division and the way the other teams finished in the standings left the Patriots on the outside looking in even though they had a record worthy of being in the playoffs.  I actually watched quite a bit of football today since I wasn’t feeling good and I had taken some cold medicine.

After soccer practice last night, my muscles were sore after sitting on the couch watching UFC but today, I was pleasantly surprised that they weren’t in bad shape.  I’m planning on doing some treadmill work this week to loosen them up and get some basic stamina built up.

Speaking of colds, my nose won’t stop running… it’s annoying.  Oh, we watched Eagle Eye tonight.  It was really good!

Tomorrow night is Mizzou’s bowl game.  They are playing Northwestern and it’s the last chance for some Mizzou seniors to showcase their skills and go out with a win.  If they win tomorrow night, they will have won 22 games in 2 seasons.  That’s a huge step forward considering in years past, an entire senior class could play 4 years and not win 22 games let alone do it in 2 seasons.  While they didn’t meet expectations, they were a successful football team.
