Well, the Rams lost again today running their feeble record to 2-10.  At least they played with some effort today so they lost respectably unlike they had the previous 3-4 weeks.  They are on track to receive another high draft pick come NFL draft time next year.  That’s one good thing that comes out of a doormat season in professional football.

As for the Mizzou football team, their opponent has now been decided by a computer generated ranking system.  Oklahoma will face Mizzou for the Big 12 Championship next weekend even though Texas and Texas Tech tied for the opportunity.  Texas beat Oklahoma, but lost to Texas Tech.  Texas Tech however lost to Oklahoma.  The whole thing is a spider web of a mess.  I foresee a tidal wave of points being scored and Mizzou coming out on the short end of the stick.  OU decimated them twice last year and given the regression of Mizzou’s defense, I figure there will be 50+ points scored against them.  Outscoring OU is the only chance at turning back the deluge of points.

My new beginning is actually an old beginning.  Tomorrow morning I will be heading back to my former workplace and begin anew.  I’m excited that they will have me back and also excited to see all of my old pals and workmates once again.  The odd thing is that it will be exactly 2 years to the day from my leaving to my return.  As I turn the page in the next chapter in my life, I hope there are more great things ahead for me and for those I have the blessing of meeting.

Oh, I got to finish Shrek The Third today.  I was fairly disappointed with the effort.  It did elicit a few laughs from me and the ginger bread man pooping a gumdrop had to be one of the funniest things I’ve seen in a while.
