My dad is on his way to Missouri and we’ll be heading out deer hunting this week. I haven’t gone in a few years and haven’t shot one since I wasn’t even a teenager. Hopefully one of us will get one and make the season a good one! As for shooting one like the picture… I don’t care… deer meat is deer meat to me because I’m not worried about mounting anything. So, if a doe shows up and I have a shot, it’s dead and going into the meat locker for our household. Now maybe if I were elk hunting, I would wait for a nice buck to come along, but this is deer, they are a dime a dozen.
As the second part of the title suggests, I had some issues with a toilet flapper tonight. Yeah, I didn’t know what it was until it broke, but it’s the little flapper that opens and allows the water in to flush the toilet… it’s chained to the handle. So, I shut the water valve off to stop the water from running while fixing it… went to wal-mart, bought the $2 replacement part, came back, installed it, didn’t work right. Went online to figure out what the problem was, fixed that, but now my shutoff valve leaks. The seals inside it must have become dried out and brittle from never being used and now it leaks. Don’t you just love how you fix one thing and break more? Isn’t life just like that? Problem is I don’t think anything is ever truly fixed.
