It was finally opening night for us and the fall season on Thursday.  We watched our 3 shows and I have some immediate thoughts.  My Name Is Earl has declined from it’s hilarious first season.  Season 2 and 3 were less than stellar, definitely downgrades from season 1.  Well, tonight’s first 30 minutes left me unsatisfied, but they brought some laughter from me on the second 30.  I’m hoping they bring back the fire they once had.  The Office was great.  However, they are teetering on a plot line that will seriously alter my view if they choose to mine it.  If you watch the show, I’m sure you’ll know what I’m talking about (Jim and Pam continually being out of synch with their relationship).  ER was seriously sad.  As I mentioned earlier this week, one of their primary cast members died in the episode tonight.  I’m not an avid ER watcher, but it was a really good show, even if it was terrificly sad.
