Michael Phelps won an olympic record 8th gold medal tonight in a single olympics.  He now has 14 gold medals and 2 bronze medals for his olympic career.  The final race was another great event.  Phelps is now done after swimming 17 races over the last week.  Hopefully the rest of the olympics will provide just as much excitement for our American team as we have seen over the last 7 days.  My parents made it in safe in the early A.M. hours this morning and we had a great day today relaxing and catching up from the past few months.  It looks like the weather is going to stay nice for their stay so that’s a great thing.  I doubt if I’m going to watch Tropic Thunder this weekend so no go there.
