Phelps won his 7th gold medal tonight.  Simply amazing.  I thought the relay final he was in earlier this week was the best race I’ve ever seen.  Well, tonight’s was better.  He came out a winner by .01 second.  Unbelievable.  Tomorrow is his last race and if the team relay goes well, he will have a record 8 gold medals from a single olympics.  He has 13 gold medals now.  Track and field has started and I’ve been watching quite a bit of volleyball and gymnastics.  The olympics are actually quite fun this year.  I didn’t watch any of the 2004 olympics and very little of the 2000 olympics after having watched almost every single second of the 1996 games.  I’m thinking about going to watch Tropic Thunder at the cinema this weekend.  Haven’t quite decided just yet.  Mom and dad are on the plane right now and should be here in a couple of hours.  I can’t wait!
