My wife and I went to see “The Dark Knight” today at our local Cinema. I’m not a huge Batman fan, but I have seen all the previous major movies since Tim Burton and Michael Keaton made Batman in 1989. I can easily say this is the best installment of the series even though it is basically a remake of the original Batman with much different writing and plot lines. Heath Ledger did an outstanding job in his role as the Joker and the rest of the cast were perfectly selected for their roles. The movie was a bit long, 2.5 hours+, but it was a really good movie for a comicbook superhero depicted on the movie screen. It was the first time we’ve been to the show in a long time, I can’t remember the last movie we saw actually. Last night’s UFC was entertaining. There were a few decent fights, nothing spectacular, but it was free so that was good enough for me. As for the PPV they competed against, it didn’t sound like much was missed. There were a few good fights and the finale ended in 36 seconds. Reminds me of the old Mike Tyson PPVs. Spend $40-$50 for a round of your favorite and it’s exciting, but not at the same time.
